B.A.S.S. announced Wednesday that Chickamauga Lake will host the second tournament in the 2020 Bassmaster Elite Series.

Most of the schedule was revealed last week, including the Feb. 6-9 season opener on the St. Johns River in Florida; the Chickamauga event is set for Feb. 14-17 out of Dayton, Tennessee.

"We're thrilled to have a lake like Chickamauga on the schedule," B.A.S.S. CEO Bruce Akin said in the announcement release. "Everyone knows Chickamauga's reputation for producing giant bass — and when you consider the timing of when we'll be there, the event has some amazing potential."

Chickamauga hosted an Elite Series event in 2014 and Bassmaster Opens in 2017 and 2019, and all three events were won with an average of more than 20 pounds per day. They also were held in late April or later.

The Bassmaster Classic will run March 6-8 on nearby Lake Guntersville in Alabama.
