* Little Debbie Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga: Sunday, 7:20 a.m. swim start 1 mile up Tennessee River from Ross's Landing transitions area. See www.ironman.com/triathlon/events.

* Adult Archers & Aces: Tuesdays in October, noon-1:30 p.m., indoors at Outdoor Chattanooga center, Coolidge Park; ages 30-older, free, no reservations or experience necessary, sessions include games & socializing; equipment & instruction provided.

* Chattanooga Ski Club meeting: Tuesday, 7 p.m., Enclave subdivision clubhouse, 950 Channel View Lane; discussions of the Oct. 18-19 hike to the Len Foote Hike Inn & snow ski/board trips to Steamboat, Colo.; Snowmass, Colo.; Salt Lake City; Banff, Canada; and St. Moritz, Switzerland. * Chattanooga Bicycle Club meeting: Oct. 21, 6-7 p.m., Outdoor Chattanooga, Coolidge Park; for recreational cyclists.
