Caleb Bagley resigned as head football coach at Coahulla Creek High School on Thursday, after three seasons with the program.

"It was 100% my decision," Bagley said. "The last three years have worn me down, and it's just time to take a step back and spend more time with my family. I still want to coach, but I have two young kids who need their dad around more, so maybe I can go back to being an assistant coach somewhere for a while.

"The time commitment of being a head coach and the lack of winning are really what got to me. I wanted to take some time after the season to make sure it wasn't a decision based on emotion. They have a great staff in place, and I feel like we made a lot of progress to turn the corner in the future."

Still a relatively young program, the Colts have won just nine games over the past nine years, including a 2-8 finish thhis past season.
