Prep roundup: Ooltewah connects on 12 3-pointers in victory

Ooltewah was on fire from 3-point range in Monday's 85-54 home victory over Central.

KeyShawn Corbin provided fireworks as the senior point guard scored 22 points and made five of the Owls 12 3-pointers. Fellow seniors Deleon Petty and Chris Styles added 19 and 16 points while combining for five makes from beyond the arc.

Eric Ford's Ooltewah red-hot team scored a season-high 34 points in the first quarter on the way to improving to 3-2 overall.

Central was led by Matthew Sharp, who finished with 13 points, while Ronye Watson and Kolsbon Patillo added 10.

GIRLS

Ooltewah 68, Central 11: The Lady Owls scored 30 in the opening eight minutes. Faith O'Donnell led the charge scoring 11 of her game-high 16 points in the first quarter in which she and Jada Tharp each made two 3-pointers. MacKenzie Bernier keyed the way to victory with 13 points and was followed by Rachel Dunbar who had 12 along with Tharp.

Haiden Harness had 10 points and made all four free throws for the Lady Purple Pounders.

Notre Dame 63, Collegedale 36: The Lady Fighting Irish improved to 6-3 following a big district win over Silverdale Baptist on Friday. Jason Hill's team was led by Dayonna Perryman's 17 points to go with floor general Kenzie Campbell's 14 points. Miriam Gaines also scored a dozen for Notre Dame.

Jada McLean had 16 points and four 3-pointers for Collegedale, while Avana Im finished with 10 points.
