Prep basketball roundup: Sale Creek's Keilyn Morgan has double-double in road win

Keilyn Morgan has been a double-double machine to start her senior basketball season at Sale Creek.

Morgan scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in her latest big performance, which came during a 46-31 victory at South Pittsburg on Thursday as the Lady Panthers improved to 3-3.

Morgan, who has committed to Bryan College, scored 14 of Sale Creek's 18 points in the first quarter. Molly Welch scored 12 points and Shelby Defore added 12 rebounds and eight points for the Lady Panthers.

BOYS

CSAS 50, Polk County 45: Arts & Sciences (8-2, 1-1 District 4-AA) won on the road as Louis Bell and Justin Brown each made six field goals and combined for half of the points scored by the Patriots. Polk County senior Caleb Milen led all with 17 points and Alex Armstrong added 11 for the Wildcats (5-2, 1-2).

Paulding County 72, Calhoun 70: The Yellow Jackets (2-2) fell at home Wednesday despite 28 points from Dylan Faulkner, 12 from Caden Schild and 11 from Jayuan Harris.

Silverdale Baptist 58, Chattanooga Christian 50: Brett Wright, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward, continued his breakout season by leading the Seahawks to victory Tuesday with 30 points that included four makes from 3-point range. Boo Carter led Chattanooga Christian with 22 points, while point guard Reid Conley, an eighth grader, had 17 points and made five 3-pointers.
