A pair of senior guards delivered clutch baskets late in the game as Notre Dame's girls beat Pope John Paul II on Saturday.

Makyla Skaggs made a key 3-pointer and combined with Mary Fillauer for 13 of the Lady Fighting Irish's 16 fourth-quarter points as they pulled away for a 45-36 victory at home. Skaggs scored eight of her 10 points in the final period.

Dayonna Perryman scored a game-high 12 points for Notre Dame in a contest in which both teams scored only four points in the third quarter, with Notre Dame leading 29-28 heading into the final eight minutes. The Lady Irish improved to 2-1.

Cleveland 69, East Hamilton 35: Freshman center Lauren Hurst stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Lady Blue Raiders improved to 5-0. Katie Moore finished with 15 points and nine rebounds in the win at Bradley Central's Thanksgiving Invitational, while Jaydin Lee had four steals. Eaast Hamilton's Kayla Strickland impressed with eight points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

Bradley Central 84, University School (Johnson City) 11: The Bearettes had 35 steals, which included seven apiece from Sloan Carpenter and Harmonie Ware. Bradley Central senior Ashlan Crittenden led the way in scoring 12 points, while Avary Brewer made a trio of 3-pointers and Hannah Jones scored eight points and had a pair of blocks in seven minutes of action. Bradley Central improved to 5-0 with a pair of wins at its Thanksgiving Invitational.
