Silverdale Baptist Academy has a reason to be extremely optimistic about the trajectory of its boys' basketball program.

The future appears bright for the Seahawks who flashed their promising young talent in Monday's 70-53 home victory over Collegedale Academy.

Brett Wright scored a game-high 29 points as he made a trio of first half 3-pointers. A seven-point halftime lead doubled quickly in the third quarter as Silverdale 6-foot-6 freshman Kennedy Okpara blocked three shots in the quarter and also threw down a one-handed dunk. Okpara finished with 14 points and half a dozen blocks.

The Seahawks (10-8) received 11 points from Botts while Cameron Mullins and Sam Bambrey helped ignite the attack with strong ball distribution.

Collegedale big man George Shrode battled in the paint for 15 points while Garet Gipson and Jonah Madrigal combined for seven of the visitor's eight 3-pointers.
