With the start of the prep football season just three weeks away, teams across Tennessee began scrimmaging Friday.

The list of scrimmages involving Chattanooga-area teams includes the state's two most dominant programs of the past few years - Alcoa and McCallie - facing off at 6 p.m.

Alcoa has won the past seven TSSAA Class 3A state titles, while McCallie enters the season having won three consecutive Division II-AAA championships.

Both teams have multiple college prospects and are once again among the favorites to contend for state titles.

Follow here for updates from that scrimmage, as well as from the five-team event at Bradley Central involving the host Bears, Baylor, Chattanooga Christian, Notre Dame and Soddy-Daisy.
