The Chattanooga Lookouts won 1-0 in Southern League baseball Friday night in Birmingham, Ala.

Lookouts starting pitcher David Hurlbut got all the run support he needed in the top of the fourth inning, when Max Kepler drew a leadoff walk and Mike Gonzales had a one-out double to center field to score Kepler. The Lookouts were held to one run for the second straight game but fared better than Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Barons in the series opener.

Game three of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Alex Wimmers (3-1, 5.58 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Tyler Barnette (2-2, 1.19) scheduled for the Barons.

Chattanooga activated D.J. Baxendale from the disabled list and acquired fellow pitcher Brandon Peterson from Class A Fort Myers on Friday. They replaced Cole Johnson (to Rochester) and D.J. Johnson (to Fort Myers).
