The North All-Stars, including seven Chattanooga Lookouts, whipped the South 9-0 in the Southern League All-Star Game played Tuesday night in Montgomery, Ala.

The Lookouts' Jose Berrios was the second of 12 pitchers who combined for the four-hit shutout and was declared the winning pitcher for his two-strikeout inning. Teammate D.J. Baxendale pitched a perfect sixth inning, and fellow Lookout Zach Jones got the last two outs of the game, one by strikeout.

Four Lookouts position players combined for five of the North's 13 hits and five of the nine runs.

In the four-run second inning, Adam Brett Walker II reached base on a one-out error, teammate Max Kepler walked and both scored on a home run by the Tennessee Smokies' Dan Vogelbach.

The North had another four-run outburst in the eighth, when the Lookouts' Miguel Sano and Walker singled and scored on a triple by the Montgomery Biscuits' Tyler Goeddel. Sano's hit had brought in Chattanooga's Jorge Polanco, who singled to open the at-bat.

Polanco was 2-for-2 and Sano was 2-for-5 with a double. Polanco was the North's second shortstop and leadoff batter, following Birmingham's Tim Anderson, who was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple, a double and a run scored.
