Chattanooga Lookouts blow away Tennessee Smokies

LOOKOUTS 11, SMOKIES 6

* Sunday's recap: Chattanooga went down in order in the top of the first inning, but that was the extent of its offensive struggles. Jonathan Rodriguez, Andy Wilkins, Max Murphy and T.J. White opened the second inning with singles as the Lookouts scored four runs to take control. White had a two-run single to left field that highlighted a three-run third inning that made it 7-0, and Chattanooga scored twice in the fourth and twice in the fifth to take an 11-3 lead. The Lookouts improved to 81-44 overall, and they're 39-16 with 15 games remaining in the Southern League's second half.

* Next up: Game one of a five-game series against Mississippi at AT&T Field is tonight at 7:15.

* Pitchers: Zack Littell (3-0, 3.42) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Kolby Allard (6-10, 3.48) scheduled for the Braves. Allard was recently rated by Baseball America as Atlanta's No. 2 midseason organizational prospect behind Gwinnett outfielder Ronald Acuna. Tuesday's scheduled starter for Mississippi, Mike Soroka (10-8, 2.92), is the No. 4 organizational prospect.
