Zander Wiel's home run to left field with one out in the ninth inning Tuesday night propelled the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 3-2 victory over Jacksonville before an announced crowd of 3,737 at AT&T Field.

It was the fourth straight victory for the Lookouts, who improved to 6-5 and are above .500 for the first time this season.

Wiel, a 12th-round pick of the Minnesota Twins in 2015 out of Vanderbilt University, is hitting .400 through his first 10 Class AA games. His homer countered Chris Diaz's sacrifice bunt in the top of the ninth that scored Brian Schales and knotted the series opener at 2-2.

Schales quickly reached scoring position with a triple to right.

The Lookouts took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on T.J. White's homer to center. The Jumbo Shrimp pulled even in the fourth when Austin Dean hit a two-out double to left that scored Monte Harrison, but Chattanooga countered moments later when Nick Gordon opened the bottom of the fourth with a homer, his first of the season, to right-center.

Chattanooga and Jacksonville will play a pair of seven-inning games today, with the first scheduled for 5:15.
