The Chattanooga Lookouts rallied late but came up short Thursday night in a 2-1 loss to the Jackson Generals at AT&T Field.

Jackson took a 1-0 lead in the sixth inning when Jose Vinicio scored on a wild pitch by Chattanooga starter Tyler Wells. Vinicio was pinch-running for Ben Deluzio, who had led off with a double and stole third base.

In the eighth, Jackson added its final run when Domingo Leyba hit a two-out single to right field, Flores followed with a single to right to push him to third and Marty Herum singled to center to send Leyba home.

The Lookouts' Mitchell Kranson had an RBI double with two outs in the ninth, with Luke Raley scoring after being hit by a pitch with one out, but Kranson was left stranded when Yoan Lopez coaxed a groundout off the bat of Brian Navarreto to earn his 10th save of the season.

Thursday's attendance was reported as 1,746.

Chattanooga fell to 19-26 in the second half of the Southern League season and 55-59 for the year.

The third game of a five-game series at AT&T is tonight at 7:15. The scheduled starting pitchers are Justin Donatella (5-7, 3.69) for the Generals and Dietrich Enns (1-5, 5.45) for the Lookouts.
