Jumbo Shrimp beat Lookouts 7-2 in Jacksonville

Minnesota Twins pitcher Ervin Santana had a solid rehab start Tuesday night for the Chattanooga Lookouts, allowing two runs on two hits in five innings while striking out six, but it wasn't enough to prevent a third straight loss in Jacksonville, 7-2.

Jumbo Shrimp starter Robert Dugger pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on three hits.

Jacksonville took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on a two-run home run to left field by Peter O'Brien, but Chattanooga countered in the fifth with a two-run homer to right by Jordan Gore. Sam Clay replaced Santana in the sixth inning and gave up four runs on three hits and two walks, with Eric Jagielo providing the most damage with a two-run double to center.

The Lookouts dropped to 5-14 in the Southern League's second half and to 41-47 overall.

Game four of the four-game series in Jacksonville is this afternoon at 12:05. Dietrich Enns (0-2, 3.09 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Merandy Gonzalez (0-3, 5.91) scheduled for the Jumbo Shrimp.
