Four Lookouts pitchers shut out Smokies, 3-0

Williams Ramirez, Sean Poppen, Tyler Jay and Cody Stashak combined to pitch nine scoreless innings for the Chattanooga Lookouts in a 3-0 Southern League win Monday night against the Tennessee Smokies.

Chattanooga won for the first time in three contests at Kodak, Tennessee.

The Lookouts collected their three runs in the third inning, when Jordan Gore opened with a single to center field, Tanner English followed with an RBI double to center and Zander Wiel added an RBI single to right. Brent Rooker drew a walk later in the inning and scored on a Luis Arraez single to right.

Game four of the five-game series at Kodak is tonight at 7. Dietrich Enns (0-5, 6.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Matt Swarmer (2-3, 4.10) scheduled for the Smokies.

Rooker was named Monday as the league's hitter of the week after going 13-of-26 (.500) last week with three home runs and seven RBIs. He also drew seven walks for a .606 on-base percentage.
