The Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club, which will play in League One of the United Soccer League next season, announced the signing of its fourth player Thursday, midfielder Steven Beattie.
He is expected to join the franchise from Cork City Football Club of the League of Ireland Premier Division, pending league approval. Beattie played in 101 League of Ireland games in four seasons, tallying 10 goals with 20 assists. He helped his team to multiple championship wins during his time, most recently the Presidents Cup this past season.

"Steven prides himself on his work rate as a two-way player, aiming to excel at both offense and defense," Red Wolves coach Tim Hankinson said in a release. "I look to not only utilize his expertise in the attacking and middle thirds setting up scoring opportunities, but I also have expectations for Steven as a goal scorer himself."
Beattie joins goalkeeper Greg Hartley, forward Eamon Zayed and defender Nicholas Amponsah as Red Wolves signees.
