Lookouts snap two game losing streak, beat Smokies

Tuesday's recap: Chattanooga pounded out 13 hits, led by Aldredo Rodriguez's 3-for-5 night, to snap a two-game losing streak. Rodriguez started a two-run fourth inning with a single — extending his hit streak to 13 games — and scored on TJ Friedl's home run to break a 1-1 tie. The Lookouts opened it up with three runs in the eighth on RBI hits by pinch-hitter Michael Beltre, Rodriguez and Taylor Trammell. Gavin LaValley, Mitch Nay, Bell and Trammell had two hits each for the 35-28 Lookouts. Johendi Jiminian evened his record at 2-2, allowing one run and three hits while striking out five in six innings. Cory Thompson, Juan Martinez and Aaron Fossas each pitched a scoreless inning for Chattanooga. Charcer Burks had two of Tennessee's (30-34) four hits.

Next up: Game one of a six-game series in Montgomery is Wednesday night at 7:35 EDT. The series includes a Saturday doubleheader with a makeup game.

Pitchers: Tejay Antone (7-3, 3.61 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Kenny Rosenberg (5-1, 2.56) scheduled for the Biscuits.
