In a five-game baseball series featuring 60 runs, the Birmingham offense finished strong with 15 hits Monday night, and the Barons hung on for a 7-5 Southern League victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field.

Blake Rutherford's two-run single in the top of the ninth capped a four-hit performance and provided the extra cushion needed for the visitors, who lost three of five in the series.

Ranked the top two hitting prospects in the Chicago White Sox organization, Luis Robert and Nick Madrigal combined to go 17-for-44 (.386) with three stolen bases each. Robert hit three home runs in the series.

Chattanooga slugger Ibandel Isabel smacked his league-leading 17th home run to tie the score at 4 in the fifth inning. Isabel went 9-for-20 in the series with three homers, along with seven RBIs and runs scored.

The Lookouts received an opposite-field RBI single to right from Alfredo Rodriguez in the ninth, and Jose Siri hustled out an infield single to load the bases with two outs. Birmingham's Danny Dopico picked up the save, fielding a soft tapper back to the mound for the final out.

Chattanooga left-hander Scott Moss pitched the first 6 2/3 innings, allowing 10 hits and three earned runs.

Luis Gonzalez built a 2-0 lead for the Barons after the first three innings with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single.

Calten Daal had three hits for the Lookouts, including a two-run double in the fourth.

Chattanooga will begin a five-game home series with the Tennessee Smokies tonight at 7:15 p.m.
