The Chattanooga Lookouts suffered one of their worst defeats of the season Saturday night.

They returned to their winning ways against the Birmingham Barons on Sunday afternoon, avenging an 11-2 setback with a 5-2 triumph at AT&T Field before an announced crowd of 2,186. Chattanooga improved to 3-1 in the Southern League's second half and will wrap up its series with Birmingham tonight at 7:15.

TJ Friedl scored three runs and Ibandel Isabel drove in two for the Lookouts, who scored three times in the third inning with threatening weather nearby. The Lookouts and Barons had a delay of more than an hour Saturday night due to rain, but Sunday's game was never halted.

The Barons struck in the top of the first inning on a Ti'Quan Forbes sacrifice to center field, but Chattanooga made it 1-1 later in the first on Isabel's RBI single to center. The Lookouts tallied their three runs in the third via an Isabel RBI single to left, a Jose Siri RBI single to left and a bases-loaded walk to Gavin LaValley.

Friedl collected his fifth home run of the season in the fourth inning, with his solo shot providing the Lookouts their largest lead at 5-1.

After Monday night's series finale, the Lookouts will begin a five-game set Tuesday night against visiting Tennessee.
