The Chattanooga Red Wolves lost for the first time this season Saturday night, 1-0 to the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club at Legacy Early College in South Carolina.

The Red Wolves are 1-1-2 with five points in the USL League One Standings — eight points behind leader Greenville (4-0-1).

Lachlan McLean's goal for the Triumph capped a play that started when Alex Morrell intercepted a bad pass by the Red Wolves. Morrell then drove down the left side before crossing the ball into McLean, who quickly pushed a shot past Chattanooga goalkeeper Alex Mangels in the 68th minute.

The Red Wolves outshot Greenville 13-6, with shots on target by Conor Doyle, Alexi Jaimes and Ricardo Zacarias.

The Red Wolves are home for their next two matches: Aug. 22 against South Georgia Tormenta Football Club and Aug. 29 against the New England Revolution.

They have six scheduled regular-season matches remaining this year at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge, and the five that are on Saturdays have been moved up to 1 p.m. kickoffs, the team announced Friday. The other scheduled home match, Oct. 7 against 2019 league champion North Texas SC — which Chattanooga tied on Aug. 8 in Arlington — is on a Wednesday, and that start time will be announced later.

Not yet on the schedule at the Red Wolves' website is a makeup date for this past Wednesday's home match against Union Omaha, which was postponed due to inclement weather.
