The 2020 season came to a close for both of Chattanooga's professional soccer teams Saturday night with mixed results.

Chattanooga Football Club lost 1-0 to the Maryland Bobcats FC in an exhibition match at Finley Stadium, while the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC beat the Richmond Kickers 2-1 in a USL League One match in Virginia.

CFC had three shots on goal in the first half. The home team's best opportunity in the second half came near the end of extra time, when a Zeca Ferraz bicycle kick hit the cross bar.

The Red Wolves, in their second meeting with Richmond this season, scored the go-ahead goal when Marky Hernandez connected with Jason Ramos' cross from the right flank in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.

Greg Hurst scored first for the Red Wolves (5-5-4), finding the back of the net in the 56th minute for his eighth goal of the season. Chattanooga completed a sweep of Richmond, which was among the teams still in contention for a spot in the league championship game, having beating the Kickers by the same score on Sept. 12 at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.
