After making a major impact in his first season with the Chattanooga Football Club last year, Ian McGrath continues to deliver.

On Friday night, he showed off his leg by blasting a goal from outside the box in the 30th minute, then scored again in the 74th in Chattanooga FC's 3-0 win against New Amsterdam FC in an NISA Legends Cup match in front of 2,249 at Finley Stadium.

CFC opened the National Independent Soccer Association warmup tournament - the entirety of which is being held at Finley - with a 4-1 win against the Los Angeles Force on Tuesday night. Chattanooga leads the field with six points and is in good position to make a run at the title game, which is set for 8 p.m. on April 25.

With Phil D'Amico in goal, CFC's defense held strong in the second half against a steady New Amsterdam FC attack. Brett Jones added the final goal as time expired, driving past the defense and sliding a shot past the keeper, who tried to come out and make a stop.

Friday's match was CFC's first time playing in a new jersey that features the logo of VfL Wolfsburg on the front, part of an ongoing partnership with the German professional soccer club.
