The Chattanooga Football Club's match against the AC Syracuse Pulse was postponed shortly before kickoff Sunday evening in New York because of "an abundance of caution for player safety due to snow accumulation on the field" at Lazer Stadium, according to a post on the National Independent Soccer Association's official Twitter account.

The tweet said a new date for the match would be announced later.

It was to have been the second contest of the season for both Syracuse (1-0) and Chattanooga FC, which opened with a 1-1 draw against the Maryland Bobcats FC on March 26 at Finley Stadium. CFC will be back at Finley on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match against Memphis 901 FC of the USL Championship League in the second round of the U.S. Open Cup tournament.

CFC currently has two more dates on its schedule this month, both of them NISA matches: April 15 at Valley City United in Mesa, Arizona, and April 30 against Flower City Union at Finley.
