Chattanooga Red Wolves lose third straight match by same score

After setting a USL League One record with seven goals in a June 22 win, the Chattanooga Red Wolves have lost three consecutive matches by a 2-1 score.

South Georgia Tormenta FC (5-4-5) picked up its first home win of the season Saturday night, when Gabriel Cabral had the winning goal in the 81st minute and also had an assist in the 2-1 victory in Statesboro.

The Red Wolves (5-8-2) had equalized in the 45th minute on a goal by captain Jose Carrera Garcia. Juan Galindrez had two strong attacks denied in the first half for Chattanooga, which returns to competition next Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. match against North Carolina FC at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.
