Smith resigns as Finley's executive director

The Finley Stadium Corporation has announced that executive director Paul Smith has resigned.

"I have great affection for Finley Stadium and enjoyed the challenge of growing the venue over the last three years," Smith said in a release. "I respect the Board of Directors, and, if needed, will help with the transition to new management, and I am looking forward to my next challenge.

Smith has served as executive director since January 2014, when he replaced Merrill Eckstein.

Finley Stadium officials said the search for a new executive director will begin immediately.
