AUBURN, Ala. - Chamberlain Smith, the sideline photographer who was injured late in the second quarter of Georgia's 21-14 victory over Auburn on Saturday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium, addressed the incident Sunday on social media.

The unfortunate collision was the result of Bulldogs running back Brian Herrien being pushed out of bounds and into Smith, a Heritage High School graduate from Ringgold who takes pictures for Georgia's athletic department. She was taken off the field on a stretcher and was treated at East Alabama Medical Center, which serves the Auburn-Opelika area, before being released Saturday night.

Smith expressed on Twitter her appreciation for all those who have sent prayers and well wishes since Saturday.

"Last night was very scary, but I'm so glad to be walking away with nothing more than a concussion and some bruises," she said. "I will be home resting and recovering for the next several days, but I'm looking forward to being back on the sidelines soon."

Several of Smith's photos have been used this football season by the Chattanooga Times Free Press with permission of the university.
