According to a report from Evan Daniels of 247Sports.com, the Tennessee men's basketball program has picked up a commitment from Santiago Vescovi, a 6-foot-2 guard originally from Uruguay.

"The plan for Vescovi is to take the SAT in early December, and then try and enroll at Tennessee during the second semester, according to sources close to the situation," Daniels wrote Friday.

Daniels noted Vescovi is known for "his skill level, playmaking and shooting," having emerged as a recruiting target for multiple colleges while playing at the NBA Academy Latin America last year and again at the Basketball Without Borders camp. He moved to the NBA Global Academy in Australia this past summer.

Vescovi is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and has a three-star composite ranking, which combines the ratings of 247Sports, ESPN.com and Rivals.com. When he signs, he will be the fourth member of the 2020 class for the Volunteers, joining five-star guards Keon Johnson and Jaden Springer and four-star wing Corey Walker.
