Grant Huron

Grant Huron, 79, of Red Bank went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.Grant was born in Plant City, Fla., graduated from South Pittsburg, Tenn., and served our country during the Korean War in the Air Force. He then returned to Chattanooga and graduated with an Industrial Engineering Degree from the University of Chattanooga. He retired from DuPont with over 37 years of service. Grant loved the Lord and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Fellowship Class. He was an avid Braves fan.Grant was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Huron; parents, Harry and Maude Huron; a brother, Earl "Bud" Huron.He is survived by his three children, Duncan (Deb) Huron, Robin (Chuck) Keef and David Huron; two grandchildren, Ian Grant Huron and Bailey Young; two sisters, Grace Jones and Beth Hutto; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the North Chapel.Services for Grant will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the North Chapel with Rev.
