Vernon Ware

LaFAYETTE Vernon Lee Ware, 76, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011.He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Community Baptist Church in LaFayette. He was the owner and operator of Wares Wrecker Service for more than 10 years and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be sadly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dora Ware; wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Ware; and sister, Hazel Martin.Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law, Trenda (Kelvin) Cordell, of Rock Spring, Ga., and Brenda (David) Wooten, of Rainsville, Ala.; four grandchildren and spouses, Nicholas (Christy) Cordell, Christy (Glenn) Patterson, Rodney (Jennifer) Wooten and Amanda Wooten; seven great-grandchildren, Blake Blevins, Jordan Cordell, Keyera Patterson, Kinsley Patterson, Caleb Hunt, Katie Hunt, Sadie Bowen; nephew, Kenneth Martin; and special friend, Gwen Thompson.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in LaFayette Memory Gardens with Rev. Melvin Bridges officiating.The family will receive friends from noon Wednesday from until leaving for the graveside service at the funeral home.Arrangements by the LaFayette Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette, Ga.
