Sandra Armstrong

ROSSVILLE Sandra Gennice Armstrong, 58, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Armstrong, and brother, James "Jack" Armstrong.She was born Nov. 28, 1952, in Moulton, Ala. Her education was received at Southern University and Northwestern Technical College. She was employed at The Health Center at Standifer Place. Sandra danced at every opportunity and will be greatly missed. She was proud of her favorite accomplishment of completing the 15K Road Race.Survivors are her loving family: son, John Bryan (Dawn) Mizell, of Rossville, Ga.; mother, Jewel Armstrong; brothers, Darryl (Mary) Armstrong, Clayton (Alice) Armstrong, Dayton (Vickie) Armstrong; sisters, Vickey (Steve) Lundy, all of Moulton, Ala., Lynnda (Tim) Owens, of LaFayette, Ga., Donna (Glenn) Hughes, of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughter, Kaylee Anna Mizell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. (Central Standard Time) Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Elliott Funeral Home, 15215 Court Street, Moulton, AL 35650.Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. (Central Standard Time) today at the Elliott Funeral Home.Honorary Casketbearers will be Joe Armstrong, Herb Lundy, Mike Armstrong, Josh Owens, David Armstrong and Caleb Armstrong.Donations can be made at www.pancan.org for Pancreatic Cancer Research.Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.
