Iva Carlock

RINGGOLD Iva Lee Benefield Carlock, 86, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.A resident of the Ringgold area for the past 60 years, she was formerly of Chattanooga. She has been a member of Boynton Baptist Church for over 50 years an was currently a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Don Carlock; parents, Herbert and Lottie Benefield; brother, Clyde Benefield.She is survived by her son, Donald Carlock Jr., of Harrison, Tenn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Edwin Tucker, of Ringgold, Ga., and Patricia and Ted Nave, of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Leah Tucker, of Tyler, Texas, and Katie Nave and fiance, Morgan J. Freeman, of New York City, N.Y.; sister, Inez Barbree, of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Ann Benefield; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating.Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.The family would also like to thank Rosewood Assisted Living and Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and concern.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Ga.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
