BRIDGEPORT Charles Leonard Colvin, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family.He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Stevenson, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Kate Colvin; brothers, JC Colvin and Roy Colvin, all of Bridgeport; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Albert Haggard, of Bryant, Ala. and sister, Lottie Jo Anderson, of Candler, N.C.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn Lyda Colvin, of Bridgeport; sons, Charles L. "Len" (Jackie) Colvin Jr. of Bridgeport, LeBron (Stephanie) Colvin, of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; daughter, Linda Colvin, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jonathan (Andrea) Colvin, Haley Colvin, Dakota Fearn, Gabrielle Fearn; special great-niece, Burgandy Moss; sister, Gertie "Trudy" (Reed) Brown; sister-in-law, Lucille Colvin; brother-in-law, Lynwood Anderson; several other special nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from First Baptist Church on Highway 117 in Stevenson at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with Brother Ronald Namanny and Brother Gary Nix officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Stevenson, PO Box 553, Stevenson, AL 35772.Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.rogersfuneralhome.com.The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-9 p.m. CST today, Jan. 20, 2012, from at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
