Brenda Foster

LaFAYETTE Brenda Juanita Tate Foster, 69, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012. She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Villanow. She graduated from the University of Chattanooga and had retired from the Walker County Court Clerk's office where she worked with Judge Billy Shaw Abney and Mr. Bill McDaniel for more than 20 years. She had also retired from Mike Herndon's State Farm Agency after more than 10 years of service. She was a loving and devoted mother & wife, who will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Tommie Tate.Survivors include her loving husband, Walt Foster, of LaFayette, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and (Bill) Vasbinder, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Melody Foster Falcon. of Hixson, Tenn., and April Celeste Foster, of LaFayette, Ga.; two step-grandsons, Joshua Linz and Jentry Foster; loving companion yorkie, Pebbles Foster; special cousin, Wayne P. Tate and numerous other cousins, extended family and friends.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Villanow with the Rev. David Pruitt and the Rev. Cliff Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the East Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday. The body will lie-in-state from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
