Jeremy Bryant

Jeremy Scott Bryant, 32, left this world for a better place on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.Jeremy grew up in Chattanooga and had lived in Knoxville for the past eight years. Jeremy graduated from McCallie School where he was on the Crew team, attended the University of Sewanee, completed his B.S. at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his masters at UT Knoxville. He had been working on his Physicians Assistant studies in Knoxville. He had been a counselor at Adolescent Residential Treatment Center in Knoxville. Jeremy was a totally selfless, compassionate man with a witty sense of humor, known for his great bear hugs! He will be so missed by so very many who were touched by his kind heart and loving spirit, but who are so thankful to have been blessed by his being a part of their lives. Rest in peace, sweet Jeremy.He left behind a family who loved him, parents, Dr. Max Bryant, Connie and Bates Bryan; brother, Jason (Kimi) Bryant; sister, Courtney (Jason) Swafford; nieces and nephews, Christopher Bryant, Gray Klassen, Katie and Emily Swafford; grandmothers: Ruth Bryant and Emily Hubbard; aunts and uncles: David Bryant, Helen (Jeff) Forehand and Ben (Kelly) White; cousins, Jennifer and Chris Forehand; and countless friends and "His kids", who he counseled in his profession.Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the Parish Hall of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., Signal Mountain, with services to follow in the sanctuary at 3 p.m. with Father John Dukes officiating, ashes to be interred in St. Timothys Memorial Garden. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a favorite charity or something that would have touched Jeremy's heart.
