Helen Patterson

Helen Lapchuk Patterson passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, with her family at her side. Helen was born Nov. 22, 1922 in Chester, Penn. She lived in Miami, Fla., for over 40 years and then in Ocala, Fla., for over 20 years. She spent the last three months in Chattanooga, as a resident at Elmcroft Assisted Living. To Helen, life was a gift and she lived it to the fullest.Survived by her daughter, Helen Lisbeth Patterson Kellam, of Chattanooga; grandson, Patrick John Kellam, of Marietta, Ga.; and brother Peter John Lapchuk, of Pennsylvania.Pre-deceased by her husband, John A. Patterson; her father and mother, Wasyl and Paranka Lapchuk; and sisters, Alice Lapchuk Spanier, Eleanor Lapchuk Morris and Anne Topster.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at the East Brainerd Chapel.Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the East Brainerd Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home with Father Jim Vick officiating.Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Ocala, Florida.Share your memories on line at www.chattanooganeastbrainerdchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, East Brainerd Chapel, 8217 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
