Deborah Tabor

Deborah Ann "Debbie" Tabor, 43, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at a local hospital.A native of Bluefield, W.Va., she was a longtime Chattanooga resident.Debbie was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church and had been a longtime member of North River Christian Church. She was a cardiac RN at Memorial Hospital. Debbie was known as a leader, encourager and a role model for many.She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Griffith; grandparents, Charlie and Grace Davis and James and Eunice Griffith; and father-in-law, Donald Tabor Sr.Survivors include Don Tabor, her husband of 26 years; daughter, Kristen Tabor and son, Matt Tabor; her mother, Dot Griffith; mother-in-law, Margaret Tabor; and special cousins, Cristal Tabor and Mike Davis.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the North Chapel.A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at North Chapel with David McNabb officiating; burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association, 519 E.
