J.E. Cook, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his residence.A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a former employee of Dalton Carpets and was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith.He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Cook; parents, Cornelious and Ladora Bradham Cook; brothers, Arville, Mitchell and Carl Lee Cook; and sisters, Lois Sims, Theolie Snider and Leonie Gifford.He is survived by three sons, Tony (Jeannie) Cook, of Chickamauga, Ga., David (Pat) Cook, of Chattanooga, and Tommy (Claudia) Cook, of Chattanooga; brother, Furrell Cook, of Soddy-Daisy; two grandchildren, Steven Cook and Samantha Cotman; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Sean (red headed John) Cook and Michaela Lankford; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. today, all day Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by W.L.
