Sarah Elizabeth Abbott, 91, of Red Bank, went to Heaven Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital surrounded by her loving family.She was a longtime member of White Oak Baptist Church and the Saved to Serve Sunday School Class. Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her time with her family.Sarah was the wife of the late Marvin Abbott and was also preceded in death by a son, John E. Abbott; and brother, Edward Riordan.Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Bill) Floyd, of Red Bank; two sons, Jim (Jeanne) Abbott and Jerry (Carol) Abbott, all of Soddy-Daisy; four grandchildren, Jeff (Paige) Abbott, of Hixson, Jason Abbott, of Hixson, Donna (Mike) Norris, of Soddy-Daisy and Karen (Charlie) Shepard, of Soddy-Daisy; six great-grandchildren; brother, David Riordan, of Virginia Beach, Va.; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating.Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
