Marsha Orten

Marsha Ann Orten, of Red Bank, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.Marsha was born on Oct. 26, 1947 to the late Jane and Jim Orten. She was a 1965 graduate of Red Bank High School and attended Tennessee Tech. Marsha retired from Combustion Engineering /Westinghouse with 44 years of service. She was a longtime member of Hixson First Baptist Church.Marsha is survived by her sister, Cindy Orten Carroll; nephew and nieces, Brad Carroll, Becky (Matthew Henry) Carroll and Bonnie (Corey) Nelson; great-niece, Hannah Carroll and great-nephew, Kodiak Henry; and many extraordinary friends.The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Memorial at Hixson, Memorial Downtown and Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville for the love and care given to Marsha during her illness.The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, at the North Chapel.Graveside services for Marsha will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Chattanooga Memorial Park, with Rev. Betsy Kammerdiener officiating. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
