Rex Dotson

Sr.CLEVELAND Rex R. Dotson Sr., 75, passed away, on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at his residence.He was an avid golfer, and was an active member of the Elks Lodge, Cleveland Country Club, and a social member of the American Legion.He was the son of the late Hayden and Bertha Mae Dotson of Clyde, N.C. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Hellan Johnson, of Clyde, N.C.; and two brothers, Jack and William Gayle Dotson, of Cleveland.Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Wanda Dotson; son, Rex R. Dotson Jr., and wife, Jeanine, of Cleveland; three daughters, Desiree Brown and husband, Ted, of Hudson, Fla., Trish Watson, of Niota, and Theresa Vaughn and husband, Ronnie, of Riceville; eight grandchildren, Rex R. Dotson III, Chris Avaritt, Ty and Taylor Brown, Zack Rayl, Gabriel Watson, Joshua Vaughn and Callie Vaughn; and one great-grandchild, Avelyn Dotson.
