Homer Mayfield

DAYTON Homer Dwight Mayfield, 70, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at his residence.Homer lived in Dayton for 30 years, and was a native of Williamsburg, Ky. A member of the Dayton First Baptist Church, Sertoma Club, Rotary Club, United Way, and Speech and Hearing Center. He was retired from banking after 21 years with First Bank of Tennessee.Preceded in death by wife, Betty Jane Mayfield; parents, John and Ota Smith Mayfield; 3 sisters, Hazel Lay, Beatrice Julick, and Roberta Mayfield.Survivors: two daughters, Joanna (James) Long, of Dayton, Tenn., Jodie (Charlie) Claypool, of Fort Levenworth, Kan.; 2 sons, Jonathan Dwight (Pamela) Mayfield, Joseph Alan Mayfield, all of Dayton; 3 sisters, Shirley Senter, of Groton, N.Y., Alma Bowman, of Destin, Fla., Florence Haller, of Dayton, Oh.; 2 grandchildren, Savannah and Baylee Mayfield.Services: Noon, Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, with Rev.
