ALTAMONT Jack William Pickett, 68, passed away at his home Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.He had served in the Tennessee National Guard and was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tenn.He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Irene Johnson Pickett; brother, Mack Pickett.He is survived by his sisters, Peggy (David) Palmer, Della (Willie) Smith, Doris (Leonard) Tidwell, Sue (Charles) Taylor, Mary (Roy) Nunley and Debbie Pickett; brothers, Tom (Thelma), Joe and Ralph (Melissa) Pickett; several nieces and nephews.Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Bonnie Oaks Cemetery with Minister Tony King officiating.Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tenn. www.laynefuneralhome.com.
