Ray Sullivan

Earl Ray Sullivan, 84, of Ooltewah, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.He was born in Wilson, N.C. to Henry Hiram and Orpha Watson Sullivan on Feb. 22, 1928. Ray was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant. He was the retired owner of Made-Rite Sandwich Co. He will always be remembered as a beloved husband, a great daddy, a wonderful grandpa and greatpa.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lorraine Sullivan; children, Valerie (Kenny) Stiner, of Ooltewah, Keith (Rene) Sullivan, of Ooltewah, Lisa (Steve) Corley, of Ringgold, Ga., and Jenni (Greg) OQuinn, of Brandon, Miss.; grandchildren, Sarah (Malcolm) Johnson, Ken (Sarah) Stiner, Meagan (Chris) Hooper, Jason (Emily) Sullivan, Will (Cindy) Sullivan, Andy (Cassidy) Corley, Michael Corley, Daniel Corley, Matthew Corley and Joshua Corley; great-grandchildren, Bentlee and Kenslee Stiner, Lily and Ava Grace Hooper and Ariana Sullivan; sisters, Ethelene (Louis) Kennedy, of Kenly, N.C., Margaret Kirby, of Lucama N.C.; brother, Elwood (Lucille) Sullivan, of Kenly, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ezra Sullivan, Herman Sullivan, James Sullivan, Mary Ellen Gifford and Virginia Kirby.A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dr. Curtis Schofield officiating. Mr. Sullivans grandsons will act as pallbearers.
