Floyd Yancy

POWDER SPRINGS Floyd Berry Yancy, 82, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his residence.Mr. Yancy was both a Korean War and Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He was retired from Lockheed Martin.He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel David and Bertie Alma Stephens Yancy; brothers, Samuel David Yancy Jr., William Chester Yancy, John Leslie Yancy and Loyd Hershel Yancy.Survivors include wife, Ethel Clarice Adkins Yancy; daughters, Kerry Vitiello, Powder Springs, Sherry (Wayne) Moore, Adairsville; sons, Michael Yancy, Acworth, Alan Yancy, Powder Springs, David Yancy, Acworth; grandchildren, Christen (Anthony) Thomas, Bryan (Melissa) Yancy, Lauren (Nathan) Gately, Kalen Yancy, Katie (Zach) Rabun, Alex Yancy, Zach Yancy and Crystal Vitiello; great-grandchildren, Hunter and McKenzie Rabun; sisters, Alma Holland and Opal Williams.
