DAYTON Ethel Snyder Swafford died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Rhea Medical Center.She was preceded by her beloved husband, Lacy Swafford; and grandson, Rickey McBay.She is survived by daughters, Shelby (Jim) Cunnyngham, Faye Criss, Myrna Giaimo and Billie Tollett; grandchildren, Michael and Andrew Cunnyngham, Wendy (Robert) Morris, Lewis Criss, Cheryl McBay and Tracy (Rob) Vachunek; great-grandchildren, Whitney Morris, Stephanie Morris, Virginia (William) Willis, Tyler Criss, Shane and Mariah Vachunek, Sommer Taylor, Lacie McBay and Luke Marek; great-great-grandchildren, Kasie and Brooke Taylor and Landon Morris; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday July 19, in the chapel at Garrison Funeral home with minister Paul Cagle officiating.Interment will follow in Rigsby Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Garrison Funeral Home.Ethel had been a member of New Harmony Church of Christ since 1950. She loved her church and neighbors. She especially loved helping others. She was totally devoted to her family. She was happy working in her flowers and she enjoyed swimming, walking and traveling.She was amazingly energetic until her lengthy illness quieted her fun loving spirit.
