Margaret Riddle

Margaret Mary Riddle, 89, of Marietta, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, surrounded by her family at Morning Point Assisted Living in Hixson.Margaret was born April 18, 1924 in Union County, S.C., to Henry Bradshaw Floyd and Mamie Wilkinson Floyd. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Clyde V. Riddle Jr.; her parents and sisters, Cora Lee Smith and Betty Louise Porter; and brother, Paul Floyd.She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Marietta, Ga. During World War II she worked in a bomb factory in Birmingham, Ala. After the war she married and raised three children.She was an avid gardener and part time model. After her children left home she worked for United Distributors in Atlanta for 20 years and Charter Bank in Marietta for 10 years.She is survived by daughter, Deborah Ann Lamb and husband, Kenneth, of Dallas, Ga.; daughter, Donna Louise Nies and husband, Mickey, of Chattanooga; son, Robert C. Riddle and wife, Jan, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Stephanie, Chad, Lisa, Jennifer, Lara, Jessica and Emily; 11 great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Oct. 3, at Georgia National Cemetery with the Rev.
