TEN MILE Calvin Gene Zimmerman passed away at his home on Sunday Oct. 20, 2013, at the age of 77.Calvin was predeceased by his father, the Rev Paul Zimmerman; and his mother, Ruth Zimmerman, of Spring City, Tenn.Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Bennett Zimmerman of 39 years.Calvin is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Rhonda Van Rhee, of Hudsonville, Mich.; his daughter, Reneta Mais, of St. Joseph, Mich.; his daughter, Relinda Barkel and son-in-law, Greg Barkel, of Wyoming, Mich.; his son, Calvin Zimmerman Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Laurie Zimmerman, of Hudsonville, Mich.; his 12 grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and two step-children.He is also survived by his brother, Rev. Dwight Zimmerman; his brother, Titus "Ed" Zimmerman; his sister, Joy Germaine Owsley; his sister, Ruth Ann Zimmerman; and his 12 nieces and nephews.Calvin was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on July 31, 1936. He graduated from Spring City High School in 1955 and went on to work at GM.
