Robert Hinson

LaFAYETTE Robert Raymond Hinson, 72, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.Preceded in death by parents, Robert Edward Hinson and Ruby Faye Wildman Hinson.Robert was member of the Way of The Cross Baptist Church. He graduated with his bachelor degree in education from Austin Peay. Robert taught at Center Post Elementary School. After teaching at Center Post for many years he worked in the education department at the Walker State Prison. After Robert retired he worked part-time in maintenance for Boyd Management.Survived by loving wife of 22 years, Sue Hinson, of LaFayette; daughter, Wanda (John) Westbrook, of Boston, Mass.; sons Shane Hinson, of LaFayette, Larry (Dale) Asher and Jimmy (Barbara) Asher, all of Cloudland, Ga., Richard (Mary) Asher, of Chickamauga; sister, Lillian (Glenn) Glasscock, of LaFayette; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Way of The Cross Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday Conducted by the Rev. Oscar Stapp.Pallbearers are Robert Butler, Dan Pendergraph, Donnie Cordell, Leon Ingram, Jeremy Harris and Jason Ball.Honorary pallbearers are Tom Parker, Brandon Asher, Lukas Asher and Tom Parker.Interment in LaFayette Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
