Janice Ament

Janice Bowman Ament, 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at NHC Rossville. She born Nov. 18, 1939. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Mrs. Ament was preceded in death by her husband, William Calvin Ament; parents, mother, Gelletta Crowley; father, Lester Bowman; sister, Constance S. Bowman; brothers, Billy Ray Bowman, Donovan Bowman. Those left to cherish her memories are three children, Deborah Smith (Blues) of Rossville, Mary (Bill) Myers, of East Ridge, Johnny (Tara Keen) Griffith, of Chattanooga; brother, Jim (Freda) Bowman, of Ringgold, Ga.; four grandchildren, Janet Middlebrooks, Samuel Wyatt, Daniel (Courtney) Gilbert, Blake Griffith; three great-grandchildren, Kainon Middlebrooks, Olivia Middlebrooks, Alekko Ki Gilbert. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. CDT today, April 26, 2014 with Rev. Allen Griffith officiating. Interment at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
