Margaret Petty

Margaret Petty Margaret Elizabeth Petty, 92, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of the East Brainerd Community and a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her hobbies were crocheting, knitting, reading and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, G. Robert Petty; her parents, E. R. and Jenny Lou Maroon; daughter, Elizabeth Roberta Smith; brothers Edgar, Ralph and Carl Maroon. She is survived by her children, Donna Eaker and Wayne (Diane) Petty; seven grandchildren, Suzanne (Dave) Chovanec, Angie (Ron) Powers, Robert J. (Tracy) Petty, Missy (Bryon) Smith, Mark (Amy) Smith, Tim (Lorie) Eaker, and Matt (Kathy) Petty; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Russell Maroon; sisters, Louise Petty and Mae Willoughby; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
